Dear Excellency Mr Sinha

Re: Our Welcome

As President of National Congress of Gujarati Organisations UK I welcome you to United Kingdom as High Commissioner of India and congratulate you for your New Post.

NCGO is the Largest Hindu Organisation in UK having 860,000 plus Hindu Gujaratis as Members of the Affiliated Organisations.

Gujaratis are very prominent and successful community in UK both in terms of businesses and academic qualifications.

Gujarati Community is and was treated by the Previous Indian High Commissioners very poorly, we hope with your arrival relationship between Gujarati Community and you will improve. NCGO has tried to bridge the divide to certain extent but more needs doing.

Concerns that Gujarati Community has about Indian High Commission is that:

  1. There is hardly any inter-action between IHC and Gujarati Community
  2. Never has any Gujarati Organisation seen attendance of the High Commissioner at any Gujarati Events.
  3. Whenever Member of Gujarati Community tries to communicate with IHC they get bad response.

No doubt NCGO is concerned with such perception held by 99% of the Gujarati Community in UK as NCGO has experienced the same treatment at our events where we have never seen presence of any Indian High Commissioner ever.

With your arrival we would like to start a New Relationship hence I urge you engage with NCGO and other Gujarati Organisation in London and other parts of UK.

NCGO is celebrating Gujarat Day Event on Monday 1st May 2017 hence on behalf of NCGO Members and Executive Committee I request you to attend the Event and engage with the Gujarati Community. Event will be held in Harrow. Please advise us if you are attending or not.

Meanwhile NCGO would also like to meet you at IHC Office to welcome you or if you are agreeable we can organise a Dinner in Harrow inviting few prominent Gujaratis. Please advise if this is possible.

Please access our website: www.ukncgo.org for information about NCGO.

      Await your kind response

     Thanking you

      C J Rabheru
      President - NCGO
