President: C J Rabheru Vice President: Pravin Amin Secretary : Anita Ruparelia Treasurer: G P Desai 9Joint Assistant Treasurer: Sumantbhai Desai PRO : Jitubhai Patel Committee: Mahendrasinh Jadeja, Krishna Pujara, G M Patel Elected Committee invited: Sumantbhai Desai – Assistant Treasurer, Vim Odedra- Committe, Nitiben Gheewala –Committee Nimuben Parekh –Committee Patron’s Council Chairman – C B Patel Advisory Council Chairman - Kantibhai Nagda, Lalubhai Parekh was proposed at the EC Meeting on 1212th October.
C J Rabheru incoming President thanked the Past President Sharad Parikh, Mahendrasinh Jadeja –Past Secretary and Committee Members for their devotion to NCGO. Mr. Rabheru said that NCGO needs to spread its wings rather than being London Centric Organisation. He stated that his administration will propose to have • events in Leicester, Birmingham, Manchester and other parts of UK • have area wise NCGO Representative • more member organisations joining NCGO • more important issue based seminars He urged the incoming Committee to be fully involved and contribute to the cause of NCGO President also requested Patron Council’s Chairman Mr C B Patel to make it functional by March 2017 as NCGO needs the support, guidance and assistance from the Activated Patrons Council. President requested Secretary and Treasurer to be prompt in their reporting. President outlined his vision during his term of office which will be discussed at the 1st EC Meeting on Wednesday 12th October 2016.
1st Event was hosted by the New Committee on Saturday 1st October 2016 at Shree Jalaram Jyot Mandir, Repton Avenue, Sudbury, Wembley HA0 3DW with lunch served at 1.30pm. Mr. Vijay Jolly, Senior BJP Party Member was in UK to spread message of people to people contact between India and UK NRI’s. He was accompanied by Vijay Mehta who was a Senior Bank Personnel in India. Mr Jolly in his speech talked about BJP Govenment progress since Mr Modi taking over as PM and how World Community views India and Indians with respect which once were ignored. He emphasised the need for People to People contact between India and Indians residing abroad. He praised Gujarati Community for their hard work and dedication to be the most successful community in the World and maintaining the social fabric in UK. Mr. Mehta gave account of economic progress made by India and future prospects of India, he also praised the business acumen of Gujaratis. President C J Rabheru thanked Mr. Jolly for his time and imparting information about India and wished him well for his People to People contact crusade. Secretary Anita Ruparelia thanked Trustees of Shree Jalaram Jyot Mandir for providing the Venue and Food free of charge and facilitating the meeting. He thanked all present for supporting NCGO and thanked the EC Members.
